Tasmania’s hospitality industry is thriving. There are over 2000 hospitality businesses in Tasmania, accounting for over 22,000 employees, 9% of Tasmania’s workforce, $500 million in wages, $1.5 billion in sales & service income, $190 million in profit, and $670 million gross value added to the State Budget.
Hospitality is arguably the most important industry in our state.
We’re happy to see such amazing performance from our industry and the people in it. Our members comprise the businesses that drive Tasmanian hospitality forward, and we’re proud to have them as members of the Tasmanian Hospitality Association.

Having been operational for just over one week now, NRMA St Helens Waterfront Holiday Park is already fully booked for the coming weekend. The early success of the facility reflects the strength of hospitality and tourism in the state.
