The THA is the only association in the country that is dedicated to the entire hospitality industry and represents its members at all levels of government to achieve outcomes for the industry.
Over the next 6 months, I know that one of the tasks that the THA office is working on is educating members and the industry on exactly 'what the THA can do for you and your business'.
While 2017 has been a very busy year at a state level, our national branch has also been extremely busy dealing with national issues on behalf of our members. Stephen Ferguson and the team in Canberra have been working with politicians from all sides of politics to get outcomes that assist our venues around the country to operate effectively with as little impediment from government as possible.
it was great recognition for the THA in the recent Tasmanian State Budget with the government providing further support to our association for 2017/18. This is on top of the $1.5 Million over four years that the THA receives to implement our THA Strategic Plan and THA ‘Great Customer Experience’ (GCE) Program...
One of the most important roles of the THA is to hold not only our annual industry gala events such as the THA awards for Excellence, but to hold events during the year that not only form teh basis of 'infomration sessions' but to connect and engage members, corporate partners and politcians together to share thoughts, ideas and business opportuinities.
