October is Show Month and Public Holidays
With October fast approaching please note the following Public Holidays State-wide and observed in each area as applicable and prescribed as a public holiday under the Statutory Holidays Act 2000 (TAS)
- Friday 5th October- Burnie Show
- Thursday 11th October- Royal Launceston Show
- Friday 19th October - Flinders Island Show
- Thursday 25th October- Royal Hobart Show
It is important that employees receive the correct entitlements. The table below outlines briefly the entitlements under the various Awards applied by members for work performed on a public holiday. It should be used as a guide only and members should refer to the Award relevant to their business for the full extent of employee entitlements.
