Award & Minimum Wage Increase
On 30 May, the Fair Work Commission’s Minimum Wage Panel (‘Panel’) handed down its decision in relation to the 2019 Annual Wage Review, deciding to increase minimum wages by 3%.
In doing so, the Panel determined the following:
An increase of $21.60 per week (or 56 cents per hour) to the National Minimum Wage (‘NMW’), bringing the minimum weekly rate to $740.80. This means that the NMW increases from $18.93 to $19.49 per hour; and
An increase of 3% to minimum wages in modern awards.

Rates shown in these tables are applied from the first full pay period on, or after, 1 July 2019.
