AN EVENING OF DISCUSSION ABOUT THE CHALLENGES THAT RESTRICT CHEFS AND SMALL PRODUCERS DOING BUSINESS TOGETHER AND WAYS FORWARD.
The THA invites venue operators, chefs, cooks, and value-adders to join small farm producers, graziers, harvesters and growers from the Hobart, Huon and Channel areas.
Over a relaxed dinner of local produce, you will meet and chat with others who also have a passion for good food, from primary production right along the food value chain to the consumer.
We will shine a light on two key issues:
CHEFS: WHERE CAN I PROCURE LOCAL PRODUCE?
PRODUCERS: HOW DO I GET MY PRODUCE INTO RESTAURANTS & CAFES?
This facilitated event will include guest speakers and case studies. You will have opportunities to have your say on what works, what doesn’t, and what needs to happen to create better connections.
We intend for this dinner to be the start of a collaborative and solution-focused process rather than a stand-alone event. So please come along and join in the conversation.
To make it easier to participate, THA has chartered a bus to transport guests from Hobart and Kingston to/from the venue.
